Complete with stunning visuals from Jeremy Comte, Honduran-Canadian singer-songwriter Daniela Andrade has delivered the whole package with her latest cut, ‘Polly Pocket’. While the beat is understated minimalism for the most part, her lead vocal is light and airy, giving off a delicate sound that perfectly complements the soft pink of the video. Speaking of the track, Andrade says, “At the time i wrote it I was trying to place these conflicted feelings of having to meet new people and go to events. Maybe it's because I haven't grown out of not liking to be told what to do or expect. I didn't know it at the time i wrote it but writing ‘Polly Pocket’ was a way of breaking these experiences down to bare elements”. It was her 2016 Shore EP that first put her on the map, but the releases 2019 have brought us (and will continue to bring) could easy start to outshine her earlier work. - Dan Peeke
